Miranda Defer

Miranda Defer, MPH, currently serves as the Senior Manager of Virtual Health & Shared Care at Providence Health Care, where responsibilities include leading the RACEApp+ initiative for improving primary care connections to specialists and overseeing service operations. Defer has extensive experience in public health analysis, having worked with the Public Health Agency of Canada to manage chronic disease databases and conduct trend analysis, as well as participating in research at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research. Additional roles include contributions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo and various research and administrative positions in healthcare settings. Defer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Waterloo.
