Richard Davis

Richard Davis currently serves as the Director of Clinical Microbiology at Providence Health & Services, a position held since July 2019. Prior roles include Clinical Microbiology Fellow at the University of Utah from July 2017 to June 2019 and Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine from September 2016 to June 2017. Richard Davis earned a PhD in Immunology from the University of Iowa, where dissertation research focused on immune responses during leishmaniasis and the interplay between innate and adaptive immune responses. Prior to doctoral studies, Richard Davis worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Central Utah Clinic and Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology from Brigham Young University.
