Elongated cycle times and resource constraints associated with bringing unimproved lots to market, coupled with the lack of already "improved" just-in-time lot inventory, will make it exceedingly difficult for homebuilders to mitigate the community count shortfall through the acquisition of lots that deliver near-term home closings.
