Gustavo Carona

Gustavo Carona is an accomplished medical doctor, public speaker, and founder with extensive experience in both healthcare and advocacy. Currently, Gustavo serves as the founder of Prémios Coração e o Mundo since November 2022, promoting societal values through initiatives. As a columnist for Público since April 2020, Gustavo donates all writings and talks to NGOs. A medical doctor at Hospital Pedro Hispano since May 2014, Gustavo has also contributed to Médecins Sans Frontières and the International Committee of the Red Cross as an anesthesiologist and ICU specialist from 2009 to 2019. Gustavo has been a public speaker for TEDx since January 2014, committing all activist income to NGOs. Gustavo holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto.
