Daniel A. Doyle

Dan Doyle is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy. He is responsible for leading the company’s financial planning and analysis activities. In his role, Dan oversees finance, treasury, process improvement, financial investment and accounting. He joined the company in November 2011, and has over 40 years of experience in the utility and electric transmission industry. Before joining PSE, Dan was CEO of Wisconsin Sports Development Corp., in Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to that, he served as vice president, CFO and treasurer of American Transmission Company, which owns and operates the high-voltage electric transmission system in portions of Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Illinois from 2000-2009. He also held several executive positions with Alliant Energy Corp., the Madison-based public utility holding company of electric and natural gas utilities between1992-2000. In his early career, Dan served as controller of Central Vermont Public Service Corp. and as a senior audit manager in the regulated industries division of Arthur Andersen in Chicago. Dan is active in several industry associations, including serving as chair of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) financial conference in 2020 as well as EEI’s Wall Street advisory Group, and the Finance EAC. Additionally, Dan served on the board of trustees of MetLife Advisors from 2007-2013 and was the Audit Committee Chair from 2009-2012. He also served on the San Francisco Advisory Board of FM Global which provides insurance solutions and property loss prevention from 2013-2018. Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is also a licensed certified public accountant. He is married and has five children.
