Julia Barton is the Executive Editor at Pushkin Industries. Julia has over eight years of experience in audio production and editing. Julia started their career at WNYC Radio, where they were a contributing producer for national programs including "Radiolab," "Studio 360" and "On the Media." Julia then became a consultant for the University of Wisconsin/Eau Claire, working with associate professor of journalism Jan Larson and their students on a community-based media project in Giurgiulesti, Moldova. Julia also offered professional programming in the region at the behest of the U.S. Embassy. In 2010, Julia joined the Association of Independents in Radio, Inc. (AIR) as a member of their programming committee and a mentor, providing guidance and editing for radio producers as part of AIR's mentorship program. In September 2013, Julia became the Managing Editor for Radiotopia from PRX, where they oversaw the production of over 50 podcasts. Julia then became the Executive Editor at Pushkin Industries in September 2014.

Julia Barton holds an MFA in Non-Fiction Writing from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts in English; French language, English literature, creative writing and contemporary politics from Oberlin College.
