Coenraad Krijger

Coenraad Krijger serves as the Director/CEO of IUCN NL, managing an international nature organization that fosters collaboration among Dutch NGOs, knowledge institutions, and the government. With extensive experience in policy development and management, Krijger has held key roles such as Member of the Supervisory Board at PWN and tasks with NWO's Dutch Research Agenda focusing on nature and biodiversity. Krijger also contributes to the Biodiversa+ Extended Stakeholder Board and serves on the Advisory Board of Staatsbosbeheer. Previously, Krijger directed various programs at NWO and led biodiversity research initiatives in Europe. Krijger's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Leiden University and a Master of Science in Biology from Wageningen University & Research.
