Stephen Newland

Stephen Newland is currently a financial coach and finance professional at Qoins. Stephen has extensive experience in finance, having served as the Director of Finance for Gravy, Qoins, and North Point Community Church. While at Gravy, Stephen developed a financial model used to help raise venture debt and built and managed a forecast model that enabled scenario planning when evaluating multiple venture debt offers. Stephen also oversaw the development of policies to better align with GAAP, led the company through multiple budget cycles, and managed rolling forecasts and established department-level monthly reporting. In addition, Stephen implemented a new billing/subscription platform to increase billing and data automation across the organization. At North Point Community Church, Stephen developed financial analysis to determine which sales and marketing channels would receive additional resources for growth, based on metrics like cost per booked call and ROI. Prior to their work in finance, Stephen worked as a Financial Analyst Co-Op for GE.
