Antonio Garcia began their work experience in 2004 as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps, serving until 2009. In 2010, they started working at both Edge Consulting and IBM as a Senior Consultant. Antonio then moved on to GRA Quantum in 2016, where they worked as a Principal System Engineer until 2017. In 2013, Garcia joined Global Risk Advisors, initially as a Senior Engineer and later as an Information Security Director. Finally, in 2019, they took on the role of Chief Information Security Officer at Qrypt, a start-up focusing on quantum-secure encryption solutions. Throughout their career, Garcia played key roles in funding, introduced improvements to the software development lifecycle, and laid the foundations for security and IT growth.
Antonio Garcia's education history is as follows:
Antonio started their education in 2009 at DeVry University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management Network Engineering. Antonio completed their studies at DeVry in 2011.
After that, Antonio enrolled in the American Public University System and earned a Master's degree in Business Administration. Antonio studied there from 2011 to 2013.
In 2017, Antonio joined George Mason University for further education. Antonio first obtained a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity from George Mason University in the same year. Antonio also pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity at George Mason University, which they completed in 2018.
Continuing their education, Antonio enrolled at Purdue University in 2020. Antonio is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Information Technology and is expected to complete their studies in 2026.
In addition to their degrees, Antonio has obtained several certifications. In 2013, they earned the Security+ certification from CompTIA. Antonio also holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², which they acquired in 2014. In 2017, they obtained the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge from the Cloud Security Alliance. Finally, in 2019, Antonio acquired the Applied Cyber Security Graduate Certificate from George Mason University.
