Michiel van Breemen

Michiel Van Breemen serves as the Director Center of Innovation at Quaker Houghton since January 2021, focusing on the research and innovation of rolling oils, metalworking fluids, and sensor applications. Prior to this role, Michiel held various positions at Quaker Chemical Corporation from 2002 to December 2020, including Sr. Manager Center of Innovation Global Metalworking and Metals and Technical Manager Research & Innovation, where responsibilities encompassed managing R&I projects, enhancing products and processes, and leading a team of scientists. Michiel’s career began in development and research roles across multiple companies, contributing to innovations in chemical processes and product development. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Chemistry from Utrecht University, alongside several professional development courses, including Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Management.
