John Picton

John’s primary duties include technical, operational, strategic, and financial analysis of potential and existing projects as well as due diligence and operational / technical support for both existing portfolio companies and potential new investments.

Prior to joining Quantum, John was a Partner for Teton Range LLC, a non-op and minerals acquisition company, where he led technical evaluations for all potential new acquisitions and developed regional analyses for new basins to enter. Prior to Teton Range, John was a Vice President – Engineer in the investment banking group at Jefferies where he advised clients on asset level acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to Jefferies, John spent time as a production and reservoir engineer at Linn Energy, Oxy, and Citation Oil and Gas. John holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
