Philip Tan has a diverse work experience in various fields. Philip started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Washington where they conducted research on deep sea hydrothermal vents and investigated materials and imaging technologies.

After that, they interned at ISEC, Inc. as a Construction Management Intern where they gained experience in estimating and purchasing for construction projects.

Philip then worked as a Computer Science Peer Tutor at Oregon State University, where they helped students improve their understanding and problem-solving skills in computer science.

Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Radiant Vision Systems. In this role, they are involved in full-stack development and has been responsible for major refactors and architectural changes of software modules. Philip is also working on a large-scale architectural redesign plan and migrating a legacy codebase to a cross-platform architecture.

Throughout their work experience, Philip has demonstrated proficiency in languages such as C#, Swift, and VB, as well as various frameworks and design patterns.

Philip Tan attended Oregon State University from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, they attended the University of Washington and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Physics. Earlier in their education, Philip was part of the Rainier Scholars program, although specific dates and degrees are unavailable for this experience.
