Avanish Vellanki

Avanish Vellanki is the CEO and Cofounder at Rain Therapeutics. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Business Officer at Aptose Biosciences, Inc. from November 2013 to March 2017. Before that, they worked in Biotechnology Investment Banking at Wedbush Securities from August 2011 to November 2013.

From February 2009 to December 2009, Avanish Vellanki was the Senior Director, Corp Development at Proteolix. From November 2006 to February 2009, they served as the Vice President, Investment Banking at Citi. And from June 2004 to November 2006, they were the Vice President, Equity Research at Bear Stearns & Co.

Avanish Vellanki has a MBA in finance and strategy from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, an MBS in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota, and a BA in biology from Carleton College.
