Rakennusliitto on noin 70 000 jäsenen ammattiliitto, yksi keskusjärjestö SAK:n suurimmista. Rakennusaloilla työskentelevät ovat yleensä ammatillisesti järjestäytyneitä eli Rakennusliiton jäseniä. Työmailla tapahtuva edunvalvonta on tärkeä osa toimintaa. Rakennusliitto on sopinut työnantajaliittojen kanssa työehtosopimuksilla niistä minimiehdoista, joilla rakennusaloilla tehdään työtä. Työehtosopimuksissa määritellään mm. alan palkat, työajat, lomakorvaukset, lomien pituudet, työajan lyhennykset, arkipyhäkorvaukset ja sairausajan palkat. ********************************************************** This is one of the biggest unions of the Labour Market Organization, SAK, assembling about 70 000 members.
