Linda Kennedy

Linda Kennedy is currently the Department Dean of Health Sciences at Rasmussen College. Linda has previous experience as a faculty member at Moraine Valley Community College, where they developed, implemented and taught new courses appropriate for the instruction of Health Sciences students in the areas of financial management, healthcare reimbursement and medical office management as part of the expanded development of the Health Sciences curriculum. Linda also participated in the successful first time application for accreditation of the Medical Assistant Program. In their role as faculty member, they assured course content for lecture and laboratory complied and exceeded accrediting standards expectations and that documentation of student competencies were accurately maintained. Linda also co-authored a competency workbook for use in the measurement of student proficiency in the areas of medical office management.

Prior to their work at Moraine Valley Community College, Linda Kennedy worked as a consultant from September 1997 to July 2005. In this role, they provided consulting services to their clients in the areas of quality improvement, process improvement and project management.

From July 1980 to August 1997, Linda Kennedy was the Vice President of Continuous Quality Improvement at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital Center. In this role, they were responsible for leading the hospital's quality improvement initiatives and overseeing all aspects of the quality improvement program. Linda also served on the hospital's Board of Trustees.

Linda Kennedy has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Information Management from the University of Illinois. Linda is currently working as a health care administrator/manager.
