Stephen J. Timm

President, Collins Aerospace at Raytheon Technologies

Stephen Timm is president of Collins Aerospace, a business of Raytheon Technologies. He leads 78,000 employees in a business that specializes in advanced technologies for commercial and military aircraft.

Timm brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in defense and aerospace. Most recently he led Collins Aerospace’s Avionics strategic business unit, advancing aviation electronics and information management technologies for commercial and military customers around the world. Prior to that, he served as vice president of the commercial avionics portfolio.

At Rockwell Collins, the predecessor of Collins Aerospace, he managed the company’s U.S.-based service centers, spearheaded the commercial information management strategy and business, identified ways to create value for customers through the use of data and developed a business framework that guides how the business serves customers today.

Timm holds bachelor’s degrees in management information systems and business from Wartburg College and an MBA from the University of Iowa.
