Raytheon Technologies Promotes Dantaya Williams to Chief Human Resources Officer, Raytheon Technologies

Raytheon Technologies, a global leader in aerospace manufacturing and defense systems, has announced the appointment of Dantaya Williams to Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). AS CHRO, Williams will lead all of the company's HR functions and initiatives and will report directly to Raytheon Technologies CEO Greg Hayes.

"Dantaya has a proven track record in leading transformation throughout our organization with a focus on the development of innovative talent strategies to drive business growth," said Hayes. "With over 20 years at the company, Dantaya will leverage her skills and experience to lead a dynamic and global HR function that is critical to establishing Raytheon Technologies as the premier employer in aerospace and defense worldwide."

Williams replaces Doug Balsbough, who retires after successfully guiding and closing the recent merger of the Raytheon Company and United Technologies (UTC).

Williams was most recently Vice President of Human Resources for the Commercial Engines division of Pratt & Whitney (a Raytheon Technologies subsidiary) and in the role led key initiatives in employee relations, diversity, talent, and HR transformation. Prior to that, Williams worked at United Technologies and Carrier Corporation for 11 years. She earned her bachelor's in Psychology and masters degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University.

Raytheon Technologies appoints Marie R. Sylla-Dixon as Chief Diversity Officer

To further advance diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, aerospace and defense company Raytheon Technologies has appointed Marie R. Sylla-Dixon as Chief Diversity Officer. Serving also as a member of Raytheon’s executive leadership team, Sylla-Dixon will be responsible for leading the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, reporting directly to CEO Gregory Hayes. The role will integrate initiatives across four pillars — talent management, community engagement, public policy and supplier diversity — and shape how the company shows up in its communities. Raytheon has publicly committed $25 million over five years to community engagement and philanthropic initiatives which support marginalized individuals and communities. "Prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion in all that we do will make us a better company, a better employer and a better contributor to the communities we touch," said Hayes. "Marie has a strong track record of aligning diversity and inclusion with business strategy to drive results, and in creating tangible community and societal impact. We welcome Marie to Raytheon Technologies and look forward to her leadership." Sylla-Dixon makes the transition to Raytheon from T-Mobile US, where she has spent the last 11 years. Most recently, she served as VP for Government and External affairs, leading the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and community outreach during the company’s merger with Sprint. Her work spanned many focus areas, including digital literacy and adoption, workforce development, and programming for underserved and underrepresented communities. She worked with national civil rights groups in these efforts.
