Golnoosh Samei

Golnoosh Samei is a highly experienced professional in the fields of machine learning and computer vision, currently serving as Senior Director of Research and Senior Research Team Lead at Borealis AI since December 2023. Previously, Golnoosh held the position of Machine Learning Manager at Apple from January 2020 to December 2023, after working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Xnor.ai, which was acquired by Apple. Additionally, Golnoosh served as a Computer Vision and Machine Learning Consultant at Encepta Corp. and worked as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Fellow in various roles at academic institutions, including the Robotics and Control Laboratory at UBC Vancouver and the Computer Vision Laboratory at ETH Zurich. Golnoosh holds a Doctor of Sciences and a Master of Science in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, along with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Significant contributions include the development of advanced algorithms for medical imaging and robotic systems.
