Prakash Chandra

Mr. Prakash Chandra is on the Board of the Bank since January 25, 2016.

He has served 38 years as an Indian Revenue Officer at the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in the Government of India. During his stint at the IRS, he has held key positions in various Ministries of Government of India including Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Delhi, Director of Department of Supply, Ministry of Commerce, Director of Border Roads Development Board, Ministry of Defence, Director General of Income Tax (International Taxation), Delhi, amongst others.

Mr. Prakash Chandra is now an Advocate and a member of the High Court and Supreme Court Bar Associations.

He has also been an advisor to the Union Public Service Commission and Department of Personnel Government of India.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from University of Allahabad. He also holds a diploma in Development Policy from University of Glasgow, U.K.
