David Ratner

David Ratner is the current CEO of Realm, a mobile database used by 65% of the Fortune 1000. David took over as CEO in January 2018 in order to pivot the company from an open-source database to an enterprise software company. In their first year as CEO, David was able to successfully 5x the company's revenue, 3x cash burn improvement, launch the Cloud offering, and acquire more than 10x customers.

In May 2019, David successfully negotiated and sold the company to MongoDB. David stayed on with MongoDB to manage the transition and ensure a successful transaction for both parties.

Under David's leadership, Realm has been able to redefine the way applications and devices manage and access data. In today's mobile and IoT world, data must reside on the device, and Realm is the best way to synchronize data between any device, any database, via any Cloud public or private.

David Ratner has a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Cornell University, a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MS in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
