James Quarles

James Quarles is a seasoned executive with extensive experience across various sectors, particularly in technology and healthcare. Currently serving as Venture Chair at Redesign Health since October 2020, James focuses on developing and launching innovative businesses aimed at transforming the healthcare system. Previously, James held the position of CEO at Strava from May 2017 to November 2019, where leadership contributed to the rapid growth of a global community of athletes. Additionally, James served as Vice President of Instagram Business, overseeing product and marketing strategies during a significant growth period, and as Regional Director, EMEA at Facebook, driving advertising business expansion. Early career roles include Executive Director at Dell, where James managed public sector accounts, and foundational experiences at TiVo and A.T. Kearney. James holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
