Milton Garces currently serves as the Core Competency Director for Remote Sensing at the Applied Research Laboratory of the University of Hawaii, focusing on research and engineering related to remote sensing and communication systems. As the founder and director of the Infrasound Laboratory at the University of Hawaii since 1997, significant contributions include establishing the Palau National Data Center and developing various infrasound arrays across different locations. Milton Garces also co-founded RedVox, Inc., where IoT and SaaS solutions are offered. Previous roles encompass leadership in the U Mich Consortium for Verification Technology and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, along with academic appointments in Japan and Alaska. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Applied Ocean Sciences from UC San Diego and a BS in Physics from the Florida Institute of Technology.
