John Fontana

John Fontana is a Senior Backend Engineer at Refersion. John has over fifteen years of experience in web development and has been with Refersion for two years.

Previously, John was a Web Applications Developer at Binary Tree Inc., where they led the development of the NeedToMeet SaaS application. John also developed the RESTful API and contributed to the successful launch of the iOS, Android, and Outlook apps. In addition, John integrated the Braintree Payments API, enabling unified payment gateway and subscription management across all apps and website.

John has also worked as Lead Developer at C.I.Q., Ltd. and Serious, Inc. John has extensive experience in PHP, MySQL, MVC, and REST API. John is also skilled in Laravel, Codeigniter, Symfony, JQuery, Angular, AJAX, Bootstrap, CMS, Payment Gateway, Ubuntu, Apache, LAMP, AWS, EC2, RDS, and ELB.

John Fontana has a degree in music performance from New Jersey City University, as well as certification in AWS solutions architecture and development, and Java programming.
