Relay Therapeutics
Christine Carbone, PhD is currently a Scientist II in Structural Biology at Relay Therapeutics, having progressed from Scientist I in the same department since January 2023. Previously, Christine served as a PhD candidate at UMass Chan Medical School where significant research contributions included determining structures of the 70S ribosome•tRNA•mRNA•ArfB complex and capturing multiple states of EF-G•GTP catalyzed translocation via cryo-EM. Earlier roles included Lab Manager and Laboratory Technician at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where responsibilities encompassed managing lab resources, conducting experiments on porcine circovirus, and training students. Experience also includes a Drug Discovery Internship at Merrimack and a Summer Internship at Massachusetts General Hospital focused on developing drug therapies for pediatric brain trauma. Educational background includes a degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and attendance at Open Bible Academy.
