Mark Butrico

Mark Butrico is an experienced HVAC Site Engineer at Rensair, a position held since July 2025. Prior to this, Mark served as a Senior Consultant at Guidehouse from July 2021 to July 2025, where support was provided to federal, state, utility, and industry clients in achieving energy efficiency and building decarbonization goals, focusing on HVAC technologies, electrification, and smart controls. Mark also worked at Johnson Controls as a Sales Engineer from June 2019 to June 2021, tailoring building automation solutions for customers and managing key accounts. Earlier experience includes a Machine Learning Research Intern role at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory and an Undergraduate Researcher position at the University of Maryland, where machine learning methodologies for energetic materials were explored. Mark holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
