Melissa Pope

Melissa Pope, M.A., D-ABMDI, currently serves as a Regional Program Specialist at RTI International and a Medical Examiner Death Investigator at the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Office. With extensive experience in death investigations, Pope previously held the roles of Medicolegal Death Investigations Supervisor and Medical Examiner Death Investigator at the same office. Additionally, Pope managed the Cold Case Program funded by the National Institute of Justice, worked as a Forensic Autopsy Technician, and contributed to academia as an Instructor and Teaching Assistant at the University of South Florida. Educational credentials include a M.A. in Applied Anthropology and a B.A. in Anthropology, alongside ongoing PhD studies in Applied Anthropology.
