Jay Monahan is the current General Counsel at ResearchGate. Prior to this, they served as an advisory board member for FanAI and WebInterpret. Jay also held the position of Deputy General Counsel at Zynga and Vice President of Intellectual Property at eBay Inc. Before that, they were with The Walt Disney Company as Vice President of Worldwide Anti-Piracy. Jay Monahan has over 25 years of experience in the legal field.

Jay Monahan received their JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law and their BA in Political Science and Mass Communications from University of California, Berkeley.
