Sundar Venkataraman has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a strong focus on grid modernization, renewable energy, and energy storage projects. Sundar served as Vice President at Resource Innovations, leading their Grid Modernization Consulting practice. Prior to that, they were a Principal at Resource Innovations and a Director at GE Energy Consulting, where they advised on the impacts of energy and environmental policies. Sundar also held positions at ABB and GE Energy as a Manager of Energy Market Consulting and as a Senior Engineer, respectively.
Sundar Venkataraman completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras between 1987 and 1991. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University from 1991 to 1994. In 2002, they enrolled in Union College and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance, completing their studies in 2007. In March 2022, they obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
