Level 3 Lighting Artist at Retro Studios

Josh Slezak began their work experience in 2014 as an Assistant Custodian at Sperry First Baptist Church. In 2015, they worked as the Southeast Campus Associate Editor at Tulsa Community College. Josh then had a short internship and worked as a Junior Artist at Little Mountain in 2016. In 2017, Josh started working at The University of Texas at Dallas as a Graphic Designer Assistant at the Office of Information Technology and also as a Student Media Assistant at the International Center, creating various multimedia content. In 2018, they directed a 3D animated short film called "Stargazer" and also worked as a Lighting Artist on another short film called "Drift." In 2020, Josh served as a Game Artist at 74 Ninjas, LLC and later as an Animator at Creative Filter, where they created content for the Cherokee language animated TV show and for Hasbro. In 2021, they worked at Creative Filter again, this time as a 3D Generalist, creating and lighting environments in Unreal Engine 4. Currently, Josh holds the position of Level 3 Lighting Artist at Retro Studios since 2022.

Josh Slezak's education history begins in 2010 when they attended Tulsa Technology Center. Josh studied Website Design & Media Production but did not obtain a degree. From 2012 to 2016, they attended Tulsa Community College, where they pursued an Associate's in Applied Science in Digital Media Specialist. Finally, from 2017 to 2020, they attended The University of Texas at Dallas, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Technology with a focus on Animation.
