Bjarni Freyr Bjarnason


Bjarni Freyr Bjarnason, is the Chief Financial Officer of Reykjavik Energy. He graduated with a Business Administration degree (cand. oecon) from the University of Iceland in 1999. He worked at the City of Reykjavík‘s auditing office and head of division for the auditing of the companies of the City of Reykjavik between 1997-2001 when he became a budget officer for the City of Reykjavik. Bjarni Freyr occupied that post until 2006 when he joined Reykjavik Energy. At Reykjavik Energy, he has worked mostly in the field of economics as a specialist, and since 2015 as the deputy CFO of Reykjavik Energy.
