Sophia King

Sophia King is a social media and communications professional with diverse experience across various roles in media and advocacy. Currently serving as a Social Media Fellow at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights since March 2024, Sophia previously worked as a Freelance Social Media and Influencer Strategist at Insign - Agence de communication from November 2022 to April 2024. Additional experience includes roles as a Multimedia Journalist at KOAA5, Communications Assistant at the Promise Institute for Human Rights, and General News Intern at Charter Communications. At the Daily Bruin, Sophia held dual roles as Top Video and Podcast Producer and Video Contributor. Previous internships include Journalism and Outreach Intern at Persona Media Inc. and Seasonal Retail Sales Clerk at Brown Bear Gift Shop, with early experience as a Summer Camp Counselor with Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from UCLA, complemented by a minor in Film, TV, and Digital Media, and is a graduate of Big Bear High School.
