Shweta Movalia is a Research Analyst at Rhodium Group. Prior to that, they were an Implementation Specialist at Climate Analytics, where they supported Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) enhancement for Antigua & Barbuda, Grenada and St. Kitts and Nevis through energy and transport modeling.
Before that, Shweta was a Research Assistant at Boston University, where they analyzed time series data generated by Integrated Assessment Model (GCAM) in examining the impact of climate change on the global breadbaskets.
Shweta started their career as an Intern at Sulabh International Social Service Organisation, where they supervised the fieldwork in peri-urban areas of Delhi to understand the gender mainstreaming in the sanitation sector. Shweta also prepared a report "Women, Water and Sanitation" highlighting policy recommendations to improve women's access to safe water and sanitation facilities in the low-income urban areas. During their internship, they also performed literature review of sanitation technologies, bio-energy and wastewater treatment systems developed by International Academy of Environmental Sanitation and Public Health.
Shweta Movalia completed their Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Miranda House, University of Delhi. Shweta then went on to complete their Master of Arts in Energy and Environment from Boston University. Finally, they completed their Master of Arts in Water Policy and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
