Roel de Jong

Roel de Jong has extensive experience in project management and environmental advisory roles, currently serving as an Adviseur Omgeving at Rijkswaterstaat since May 2017, alongside duties as an Omgevingsmanager for the Nieuwe Sluis Terneuzen project. Roel has held positions at various organizations including Grondwerk Projectmanagers, Waterschap Brabantse Delta, and the Port of Rotterdam, where responsibilities encompassed project management, stakeholder management, and environmental consultancy. With significant contributions to projects like the Amsterdam South Connection and Rivierklimaatpark IJsselpoort, Roel is recognized for expertise in integrating technical and environmental considerations within project frameworks. Roel holds a Bachelor of Built Environment from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and has played a pivotal role in professional associations, including serving as a board member for Alumnivereniging HogeROP.
