Jonte Beswick

Jonte Beswick possesses extensive experience in the field of exploration and geoscience, with a significant tenure at Rio Tinto from January 1990 to September 2016. During this period, Jonte held various leadership roles, including General Manager of Exploration for Central Africa and GM Exploration for Africa and Eurasia, where responsibilities comprised managing teams and developing multi-commodity exploration projects. Previous positions included Country Manager roles in South Africa and Botswana, as well as Sweden, and managing key projects such as the Simandou iron ore study and the Iranian porphyry copper programme. Jonte's educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Aberystwyth University and an MSc in Mining Geology from the Camborne School of Mines, achieving recognition for academic excellence.
