Julia Hartmann is an accomplished scientific staff member and PhD candidate at the RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment since June 2016. Julia's doctoral research focuses on the development of an integrated methodology for identifying, prioritizing, and quantifying emerging chemical and microbial risks to safe drinking water supply within the framework of the "PS-DRINK" project. Prior experience includes an internship at Shell in 2015, where Julia researched the aquatic toxicity and bioavailability of lubricants and their additives, and a role as a project assistant at Amlin from October 2012 to June 2015. Julia holds a Master of Science degree in Toxicology and Environmental Health from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural and Social Sciences and Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam. Pre-university education was completed at Carolus Borromeus College with a focus on Nature and Health.
