Julie Elam

Clinical Supervisor at Ro Health

Julie Elam is currently a Clinical Supervisor at Ro Health. Prior to that, they worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center from April 2007 to July 2008. In their role, they provided health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of illness in a culturally diverse outpatient care setting. Julie also performed routine GYN procedures, STD evaluations and treatments, and provided STD education. From August 2012 to February 2014, Julie worked in private practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In March 2014, they began working at H2U HealthCenter at St. David's Medical Center, where they provided primary health care to employees of the hospital and their families. Julie also oversaw the running of the clinic on a daily basis and reported to the Director of Clinical Operations.

Julie Elam has a doctorate in Nursing Practice from The University of Texas at Austin. Julie also has a master's degree in Nursing from Pittsburg State University, as well as a bachelor's degree in Nursing Science from the same school. In addition, they have an Associate of Science in Nursing from Southwest Baptist University. Julie is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and by the Texas State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. Julie also has certification in Advanced Certified Life Support and Basic Life Support, and a DEA license from the Drug Enforcement Administration. Finally, they have certification from the Texas Department of Public Safety as a DPS Certified/Number.
