Louis Matthews

Louis Matthews currently serves as Chief Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel at Roark Capital, a position held since June 2021. Prior to joining Roark Capital, Louis held the role of Senior Corporate Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from February 2016 to June 2021. Louis also served as President of the Mergers and Acquisition Section of the Dallas Bar Association from September 2019 to August 2020. Earlier career experience includes a Corporate Associate position at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP from September 2013 to February 2016, as well as a Summer Associate role at the same firm in May 2012. Louis started a judicial internship with Judge Joseph F. Bianco at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in June 2011. Louis earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Human and Organizational Development and Political Science from Vanderbilt University in 2008.
