Sonjoy Chakraborty

Sonjoy Chakraborty is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in cyber security and data privacy, currently serving as Associate Director of Cyber Security at Robi Axiata PLC since December 2011. In this role, Sonjoy acts as the Chief Information Security Officer for Robi and its subsidiaries, leading risk and compliance initiatives, and collaborating on security strategies within the Axiata Group Berhad. Previously held positions include Data Privacy Officer and Vice President of Cyber Security and Privacy, where responsibilities encompassed designing security policies, presenting updates to management, and driving enterprise risk management. Earlier in a general managerial position, Sonjoy focused on information security management systems and digital trust initiatives. Prior experience at Data Edge Limited involved infrastructure development for significant banking projects. Sonjoy holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology and a Master of Engineering in Information Systems Security from Bangladesh University of Professionals.
