Naveen Sharma

Naveen Sharma currently holds positions as Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Industry Engagement, Professor at Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, and Chair of the Department of Software Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology since July 2015. Additionally, Naveen is serving as Director at Saayam For All since January 2024. Previous roles include Chief Scientific Advisor for Big Data Software Engineering at Quantiply Corporation from August 2015 to December 2020 and Director of the Computing and Information Services Innovation Lab at PARC from June 2014 to July 2015, leading initiatives in data science and machine learning. Prior experience includes over two decades at Xerox in various leadership roles, primarily leading innovation and research in distributed computing and cloud services. Naveen's academic background includes a PhD in Computer Science from Kent State University and an ME in Mechanical Systems Analysis and Design from the Indian Institute of Science.
