Matthew Baffuto

Matthew Baffuto currently serves as a PhD Candidate, Graduate Fellow, and Research Assistant at The Rockefeller University, where focus lies on molecular biology in the Nathanial Heintz Laboratory, specializing in nuclei isolation, antibody labeling, and various sequencing techniques. Prior experience includes undergraduate research roles at Marist College and State University of New York Upstate Medical University, as well as educational positions supporting students with intellectual disabilities. Matthew co-founded a nonprofit mental health organization and contributed to publications, including one exploring the transcriptional signature of a runner’s high. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Neuroscience from The Rockefeller University and a BS in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Marist College.
