Elsy Gómez

Elsy Gómez is the current Administrative & Financial Team Lead for LATAM at rockstart. Prior to this, they were the Director financiero y administrativo at JM SECURITY ADVISORS LTDA from March 2018 to October 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the timely delivery of financial statements and reports to the General Manager and Board of Directors, ensuring the resources and liquidity to meet payment obligations, immediate needs and financing, and ensuring transparency in operations. Elsy was also responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), accounting, taxes, warehouse-inventory, and administrative services; negotiating with suppliers on cost/quality, coordinating timely supply for Front Office requirements, proposing locative improvement projects for the headquarters; direct reports; and managing 7 employees.

During their time at JM SECURITY ADVISORS LTDA, they designed a strategy to lower interest rates by 5 points and increase financial benefits for employees through an RFP with banks on credit rates. Elsy also helped lower GMF expenses and optimize resources by implementing an investment line. In addition, they created strategies to meet KPI with a monthly goal of 95%, through the design of matrices that allow data control and monitoring. Finally, they participated in the Recertification ISO 9001 process, during which they worked on the update and improvement of administrative and financial processes, preparation of documentary and SIPLAFT matrices.

Elsy Gómez is a financial management specialist and certified public accountant. Elsy has a degree in finance from Universidad Sergio Arboleda and a degree in accounting from Universidad de La Salle.
