Connor Usry

Senior Associate at RMI

Connor Usry is an Associate at Carbon-Free Buildings at RMI. Connor was previously a Controls Engineer at Boon Energy from January 2016 to December 2018. Connor was responsible for creating BMS/EMIS software for enterprise monitoring, control, and predictive system analysis. Connor also designed, commissioned and serviced mobile-friendly SCADA systems for data centers, co-working spaces and high-occupancy office spaces up to 2.3 million sq. feet. Connor wrote automation sequences for critical electrical load transfer, chiller plants and domestic water operations. Connor also built control/monitoring capabilities for client enrollment in NYISO and Con Edison Demand Response programs - enabling on-demand peak load reductions of 1.25 MW.

Connor was also a Product Manager at Boon Energy from January 2016 to December 2018. Prior to that, Connor was a Software Engineer/Consultant - Intern at Pivotal Labs from June 2015 to August 2015. Connor was also a Software Engineer - Intern at AT&T - TDP Emerging Technologies from June 2014 to August 2014.

Connor Usry has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Duke University, with a minor in Economics. Connor also attended a summer program at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where they studied Intermediate Microeconomics and Intermediate Macroeconomics. Connor Usry graduated from Rye High School with a high school diploma.
