Patricia Sandison is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in nonprofit law and governance. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at RMI since September 2024, Patricia previously held the position of Partner at Hodgson Russ LLP from April 2010 to August 2024, specializing in tax-exempt organizations and corporate law. In that role, Patricia advised various nonprofit entities, including private foundations and educational institutions, on New York State and IRS legal requirements, governance best practices, and operational issues. Prior to that, Patricia worked at Ropes & Gray LLP as a Nonprofit, Corporate & Securities Senior Associate Attorney and as an Investment Management and Corporate Associate Attorney. Patricia earned a Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from Boston University.
