Gary Ellison

Gary Ellison is an experienced security professional with a strong background in trust and security architecture. Currently serving as Vice President for Trust at Roku since December 2013, Gary Ellison focuses on compliance, security, and privacy while fostering reliable relationships across the value chain. Prior roles include Vice President and Chief Security Architect at Intertrust, where responsibilities included designing trusted distributed systems, and Chief Security Architect at Sun Microsystems, overseeing security processes and contributing to key initiatives such as the Liberty Alliance Project. Gary Ellison began a career at AT&T Bell Laboratories as a Member of Technical Staff, and earlier worked as a Principal Research Scientist at Battelle. Gary Ellison holds a B.S. in Mathematical and Physical Sciences, specializing in Computer and Information Sciences from The Ohio State University.
