Debbie Gordon

Debbie Gordon is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in excise tax and renewable energy credits, currently serving as Principal at RSM US LLP since April 2020. Previously, Debbie held the position of Managing Director at KPMG US, leading the Federal Excise Tax practice from March 2008 to April 2020. Prior to that, Debbie was a Senior Manager and Senior Attorney at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from September 2004 to March 2008, where notable contributions included authoring guidance on excise tax provisions and drafting regulations on fuel taxes. Debbie also served as Attorney-Advisor to United States Tax Court Judge Juan F. Vasquez and worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for United States Magistrate Judge E. Thomas Boyle. Educational qualifications include an LLM in Tax Law from New York University School of Law, a JD in Tax Law from the University at Buffalo School of Law, and a BS in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
