Russell Powell

Russell Powell is an experienced finance and strategy professional currently serving as the Executive Director for Finance, Strategy and Governance at RSPB since January 2023. Previously, Russell held multiple roles at the National Trust, including Director for Financial Planning and Insight and Acting Chief Financial Officer from January 2019 to January 2023. Russell's background includes significant experience as Finance Director at RM Education from February 2012 to January 2019 and as Commercial Director at Isis Concepts Ltd from November 2009 to February 2012, where responsibilities encompassed general management and significant revenue growth. Earlier in Russell's career, finance leadership was established as Head of Finance at RM Education from June 2000 to November 2009, contributing to key acquisitions. Russell holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Strategic Marketing from the University of Glamorgan and has received CIMA recognition for achieving the highest global score.
