Pierre-Olivier Chouteau is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering with extensive experience in high voltage (HV) systems. Currently serving as Manager for Offshore HV Substation Engineering at RTE since August 2023, Pierre-Olivier previously held various managerial and engineering roles at EDF from August 2006 to July 2023, including managing power transformers and converters, and overseeing project management for battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hydroelectric power plants. Additional experience includes leading electrical design teams for nuclear projects in France and the UK, as well as involvement in large-scale power generation projects such as gas turbine and coal units. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from INSA Lyon and a Master's degree in Electrotechnic Engineering from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers. Career beginnings at Enedis involved IT and SCADA systems and project assistance in electrical distribution grid renovations.
