Charles Baker

Charles joined Runway Growth Capital in 2020 as Director, Business Development and Investor Relations.

Prior to Runway, Charles was a Vice President with Pinnacle Trust Partners—a leading, independent Placement Agent and Advisory specializing in Private Credit. While with Pinnacle, Charles was directly involved in helping raise over 15 alternative offerings across Private Credit, Private Equity, and Private Real Assets. Charles worked previously at Partners Group (USA), a Swiss Private Markets manager, where he was a member of the institutional distribution team responsible for client coverage in the US Midwest and Eastern Canada. Prior to Partners Group, Charles was a member of the institutional distribution team at Guggenheim Partners Investment Management in New York. Charles began his career serving as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy for six years aboard destroyers deployed to the Horn of Africa and based in Yokosuka, Japan. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant before resigning his commission.

Charles holds an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a BS in History from the United States Naval Academy.
