James Salwitz

James Salwitz is a prominent figure in oncology, currently serving as a Partner at Astera Cancer Care since March 2022. Salwitz has extensive experience on various boards, including membership on the Board of Trustees at RWJBarnabas Health and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital since April 2016 and 1987, respectively. Previously, Salwitz held the position of Partner at Regional Cancer Care Associates, which is among the largest oncology physician networks in the United States, from 1987 to 2022, and served as Managing Partner at Central Jersey Oncology Center from 1991 to 2010. Academic training includes a fellowship in the Breast Cancer Section at the National Cancer Institute, NIH, from 1983 to 1987. Salwitz obtained a degree from Knox College between 1972 and 1976.
