Margaret Ames

Margaret Ames, DNP, MPA, RN, currently serves as the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at RWJBarnabas Health, where a primary focus is on enhancing patient experience and improving HCAHPS scores through workforce engagement. Additional roles include adjunct faculty at Rutgers School of Nursing, teaching Health Care Economics and Business Practices for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Previously, Margaret held various leadership positions at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, emphasizing improvements in cardiovascular and transplant services, developing strategic plans, and enhancing physician collaboration. Early career experiences include significant roles at The Mount Sinai Hospital and New York Presbyterian Hospital, specializing in transplantation and patient care coordination. Margaret holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rutgers University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
